Sue Parsons Finishing Classes

Join us to learn how to finish a simple round ornament with a master of finishing, Sue Parsons. Sue is a professional finisher and leads the team at West Coast Finishing. In this class you will learn: - The supplies that are needed to finish a flat or padded ornament (Mat board, batting, muslin, cording, needle, thread and pins. - How to trim your canvas in preparation for finishing - How to measure and cut your board, batting and backing fabric - How to create cord using skeins of thread, a power drill and hook - How to assemble your front “cookie” and the back “cookie” - How to attach the cookies and sew on the cording, including creation of a loop to hang it This 3-hour workshop will provide step-by-step instruction to start you on your finishing adventure. Class size is limited to 8 participants per session. Two sessions are offered each day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
