Tips and Tricks:
When starting a new skein, it will be easy to gently pull the thread without it tangling. If the thread starts to bunch up you can locate the thread you are pulling and bring it out the other end so that it doesn't tangle or come out of the wrapper.
If you remove the rappers, keep track of the color number you are using. Embroidery thread comes in many similar colors and you are going to want to keep track of which color goes with which wrapper.
Separating the strands by cutting the length of thread you want to work with and gently pull the thread from one end until it is removed. Usually you will work with multiple strands but rarely all 6 at one time. Remove one at a time and lay them next to each other, lining up the ends. This is called "stripping". Feed them into your needle and begin stitching.
Adjust the thickness of your stitching by using different quantity of strands in your needle.
As with all strandable thread, it is recommended you use a laying tool to have ideal placement of the thread on your canvas.
Avoid taking the six strands and pulling them apart in groups as this leads to tangles in the thread.
Recommended Use:
13 mesh use 3-6 strands
18 mesh use 1-4 strands
